![]() ![]() We would love to hear your continued feedback so that we can keep creating and evolving what helps you to build faster and better. This powerful addition in Postman would not have been possible without the thousands of upvotes, ideas, and feedback that we received from you-our community. So, as an ongoing effort, we intend to support WebSocket subprotocols (such as Socket.io) for a more advanced search, filter, and grouping of messages, and to add a plethora of helpful debugging utilities. Adding documentation functions, scripting, testing, and every other feature that we all love in Postman are our top priorities. We’re constantly working to improve the Postman API Platform with the capabilities you need, and WebSocket support is just the latest example of this commitment. Postman web pro#Pro Tip: If you are working on a shared workspace, others in your workspace can also revisit your WebSocket message history and reuse an API. Revisit previous WebSocket message history This allows you to not just revisit a previous session to peek into the messages but also reuse the same API by hitting the “Connect” button. You can revisit your previous WebSocket sessions within the History section of the Postman sidebar. Reusing and collaborating on your WebSocket APIs The timeline is accompanied by convenient overall search and filter options that help you reduce noise in a very chatty WebSocket API and get to the exact message you are interested in. Subsequently, for the messages you want to dig deeper into, you can expand the message preview and be greeted by the same powerful Message Editor with syntax highlighting and comprehensive search functionality. This timeline shows you previews to quickly find the message you are interested in. The messages you send or receive from the WebSocket API show up in the unified message timeline right below the Message Editor. Pro Tip: You can use your favorite cmd/ctrl+enter keyboard shortcut to send the messages. You can even compose raw ArrayBuffer messages, which was something we found handy while debugging a few of our WebSocket APIs. ![]() The extra-large compose area with the ability to syntax highlight and auto-format JSON and XML makes it super easy to send WebSocket messages. Once connected, you can use the Message Editor to compose your messages. Our second order of business was to provide a powerful search on the stream of WebSocket messages coupled with an easy way to send and preview the contents of these messages. ![]() Postman automatically adds the basic WebSocket headers needed to connect. You can customize headers and query parameters needed to make your WebSocket connection. Connecting to WebSocket API using Postman And, if you face issues connecting to your WebSocket API, Postman shows you detailed information of the handshake process. To solve this problem, we leveraged what we do best-we used our knowledge of HTTP APIs and built a powerful interface that allows you to highly customize and debug the first connection (handshake) call that you make with the server. Getting startedįrom the very beginning, we noticed that the most arduous thing getting in the way of using WebSocket APIs is the very act of connecting to a WebSocket API server. Take it for a spin and give us feedback in our WebSocket discussion forum. In this tab, you can input your WebSocket API URL, establish a connection, then send and receive messages seamlessly. In the latest version of Postman, you can now hit the “New” button in the left sidebar and open a WebSocket Request tab. The protocol enables continuous two-way communication between your browser and the web server, and for Postman, it has meant the advent of a whole new paradigm of asynchronous APIs. ![]() Support for the WebSocket protocol is one of the most popular feature requests we’ve received from the Postman community. Postman web update#This key update to our API platform is currently available in public beta with Postman v8.5 and above. Today, we are excited to announce that Postman now supports WebSocket APIs. ![]()

Originally concocted as a limited-edition LP in ’76, Eno sent the album to film directors. 1978’s Music for Films was a masterstroke on his part. Eno absolutely wanted to get into the biz. While one can easily argue that his music was ready-made for movies, it’s not just because of the sounds and style. His music often has a way of doing that.Įno served as Jubilee’s composer, but the film utilizes existing Eno music from Music for Films. Eno’s music bonds Jarman’s unclear motivations very early, so while it may take viewers a moment to understand what the hell the film’s getting at, at least Eno becomes a through-line. Punk visuals and Shakespearean pageantry collide in Jubilee, and it rides the line between absurdist trash and baffling mystery, but Eno’s elegant, rueful “Slow Water” prepares viewers right at the start for what will be an unforgettable, episodic ride. In a word, the film’s weird, but in that special, experimental, “only in the ‘70s” way. “Slow Water” opens Derek Jarman’s cult classic about Queen Elizabeth I time traveling to 1970s London and experiencing all sorts of curious things. Here we have the very first usage of Brian Eno’s music in a motion picture. Besides, the guy did release several albums under the title of Music for Films for goodness sake, how was Eno not going to find his way to the silver screen? Today, we’re going to reflect (somberly, of course, with a soft pillow in a quiet room if possible) on some of the finest uses of Eno’s music in the movies. A sonic, ethereal, peaceful, relaxing, chilled-out, becalming, good-vibe-inducing sort of heaven. In that spirit, Eno and films were always going to be a match made in heaven. Eno’s career has been defined by his glorious glam rock, his beauteous digital techniques and tones, and his collaborations with great artists like David Byrne and U2 among many others. Simply put, he is an experimental icon in the world of music - an avant auteur defined by his idiosyncratic interests and involvements. Whether you know him as the godfather of electronica, Roxy Music and Bowie’s secret weapon, or that really cool beep boop guy with the cats, there is only one Brian Eno. We’re revisiting in celebration of a slew of Brian Eno’s best work getting re-released on vinyl this Friday. ![]() A waste of a stress-free night at home, where the plot of your quiet evening holds more interest and imagination. This article originally ran in April 2016. “28 Weeks Later” is none of the above, just a plodding song and a empty exercise. I liked the original quite a bit and absolutely loved “Shawn of the Dead.” Apparently, I need Sam-Raimi-tongue-in-cheek-funny or a refreshing new take on the over-trodden zombie genre. I typically don’t gravitate to horror or zombie flicks, but I’ve enjoyed a few recently. I admit this is not my thing, so gore fans may think this is the best use of fake blood since Gene Simmons spit on them at a Kiss reunion show. It falls flat with a splatter and squirt after the quickly squandered promise of the opening act. Like the droning song that appears over and over again, “28 Weeks Later” never goes anywhere, chasing and running all over itself. “28 Weeks Later” uses the same song or variations on the same musical theme throughout. It serves no purpose, except to cause stress with its gouge-out-some-eyeballs, relentless, dumb-ass violence. “28 Weeks Later” is mindless, gratuitous violence – And I know what you’re saying…its a fucking horror movie- how can you say its too violent? Well, my only defense is that there’s campy violence and there’s scary violence in fantastic horror movies, this isn’t funny or scary. The mindless zombies of the first film have given way to zombies with feelings that take things personally, a trait that leads to silly plot-central character connections. For reasons passing understanding, the filmmakers chose to divert from the established facts of the world the first film created. “28 Weeks Later,” directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, borrows only minimally from the original and it utterly fails to deliver on whatever it was you liked about the first experience. ![]() Sadly Boyle is credited as a producer on “28 Weeks Later,” which as it turns out, is the worst kind of sequel. ![]() ![]() Simple, stark and overwhelmingly British, it totally worked for me right up until the end -you know, when they ran into the military guys and the plot got stupid. ![]() The initial impression interested Serra more and that is how the torqued ellipses project was born. The view from the center of the church gives the impression that both ellipses are a continuous and regular space from the bottom to the top. Looking at the floor, one gets the impression that the ellipse there and the one on the ceiling are inverted reflections of each other. The concept was inspired by San Carlo Alle Quattro Fontane 2, a church in Rome that has been standing since the 15th century. So, how did the Torqued Ellipses by Richard Serra come into being? How Serra came up with the idea for the seriesĪt first, the artist thought he wanted to do a complete misinterpretation of what was actually there. At some point, it seems to be leaning over your head and, in another location, leans in the opposite direction from you. Stepping inside the cave door, the structure does appear to move in line with your movements. Walking around the curve is a mystery as you begin, but some parts like the cave are self-revealing. A curved piece may not seem like much when it is small enough to fit in your hand but wait until you can walk into and around it. Upon realizing that most cities worldwide are characterized by angled buildings, Serra burned with the desire to create a vocabulary that featured curvilinear forms. Sandblasting is responsible for the appearance, an idea that had been cooking in the mind of Richard Serra 1, for more than 25 years before finally being actualized. The steel surface of the structure is covered in a layer of rust and it is not by chance neither is it due to neglect. ![]() ![]() The experience of walking around the Torqued Ellipse is quite awakening. She immediately leaned back but not as fast as Jun Pyo leaning forward. She tried to ignore it but she felt her face get hot. Jan Di looked up from there hands and chuckled. “What? What’s so funny?” he asked he dropped her hand and reached on his face. “Is there something on me.” Jan Di shock her head and lend over. “Let me get it.” She said Jun Pyo immediately dropped his hands as she reached over whipping away whip cream from his upper lip. “What?” She asked a half smile on her face he squeezed her hand and she squeezed back she liked this mornings where everything was at peace sure others they would be at each other necks but this one was a peaceful one. “Nothing.” he said. Jun Pyo reached out and took one of Jan Di’s hands. It always hit her every morning and every night when he would say wife they where married, really married a swarm of butterflies filled her stomach at the thought they had gone through to much hardships that the thought seemed to be some distant and unrealistic. “Good morning wife.”He answered back with a smile taking one of the coffee’s. She squeezed out some whip cream ontop of two coffes and headed to the table where Jun Pyo propped himself in a chair. “What has you so happy this early?” Jun Pyo’s voice brought her back to reality she poured the hot water over the instant coffee and mixed the mixture. “Good Morning.” She said with a smile. This was also one of the few things that Junpyo wouldn’t argue with her about making him coffee, and making him food house cleaning he would always go into one of his moods and say this is why they had maids but since they first started dating and she made him a bento he wouldn’t eat much at the house unless she made it for him. Even knowing that they had maids in the house she liked at least doing this one thing for him before he left to work. Jan Di would wake up always a few minutes earlier then Jun Pyo to make him coffe.
